Training

Many new aircraft owners already have their private pilot license. Most of their time and experience has been accumulated in a Cessna 150, 172 or Piper Cherokee's.  When their new aircraft is a high performance aircraft capable of performance nearly double that of their experience, problems can arise. In other cases, the pilot may have experience with fixed-gear aircraft, but no experience with retractable gear; or the pilot may have experience with tricycle layout but needs to learn how to fly a taildragger.
